In maths we have had lots of fun learning about numbers. We have been looking at different numbers. Children have used different apparatus to create the numbers. They have used ten frame, number frames, egg boxes magnetic numbers and objects. Once children were familiar with the concrete apparatus they pictorially drew it.

In Maths we have been looking at us using our skills within continuous provision. Children have been using mathimatical language to lay for objects from our toy shop. Children have been using the large scales outside to compare the weight of different ingredient in the mud kitchen. Children have been using their estimating skills to predict and then discussed which thing weighed the most and put the ingredients in order for, heaviest to lightest.
