English

In English we have been listening to the story 'Supertato' where an Evil Pea has committed terrible crimes to the other vegetables. You can re-listen to the story on youtube using the following link.

After listening to the story complete the English worksheet by answering the questions about what the characters are feeling, thinking and saying. Remeber to use a capital letter, finger space and full stop.

Maths

This week in Maths we have been using the part, part, whole model to help us complete number sentences. We have been using the part, part, whole model to carry out addition and subtraction.

For addition we have used the 'part add part equals whole' and for subtraction we have used 'whole take away part equals part' strategy.

You can use jottings to help you work out the number sentences.

Theme

This week we have started to learn about plants and trees and how they have same and different parts. We have looked at what plants and trees need to help them grow.

Complete the worksheets and label the parts of a tree and a plant using the information from the powerpoints provided. Children only need to complete 1 of the sheets from the two.

Grammar

This week in our grammar lesson we have looked at the prefix 'un' and how it changes the meaning of the word. For example when we add the prefix 'un' to 'happy' it becomes 'unhappy' and means 'not happy'. Complete the worksheet by highlighting the prefix 'un' and gradually innovating your own sentences using the words provided.
