Fantastic Book Awards!

Mrs Butt was very lucky when she went to the FBA conference as she met the previous Children's Laureate, Cressida Cowell.  We bought two copies of her new book and Cressida Cowell signed both of them for our school.  Everyone wanted to read our new books so we had to draw names out of a hat!  Qasim and Ikraam are our very first readers of 'Which Way to Anywhere'.  Hopefully, Mrs. Gorrell's name will be picked next!

Our very first FBA session was on Tuesday 11th October - children dressed up as their favourite character from their favourite book.  We will run this session every week with lots of Year 5 and Year 6 children throughout the year.  They are very excited to read and vote on their favourite books.  Here are the children in Group 1 with their new FBA books.
