Please ensure that your child is in school by 8.50am each day.

Chair Of Governors

Mr Leeming has stepped down as the Chair Of Governors at Reedley, after a great many years in this role. We are pleased that he remains a member of the Governing Body though.

Our new Chair Of Governors is Miss Jennifer Ingham, who is the Deputy Head Teacher at Marsden Heights.

Parent Governor

Two people have expressed an interest in the vacant post of parent governor, and so we will carry out an election. Information regarding this will be sent home by Friday 14th October.

As part of their current topic, Year 2 had a visitor from the Dogs’ Trust. They met Herbie the dog and learnt about how to care for animals.

Skipping Workshops

All classes from Y1 – Y6 took part in a skipping workshop this week. They learnt about general fitness and a range of techniques to use with skipping ropes.

All classes took part in the Reading Festival this week, watching on-line sessions with authors. Talk to your child about the exciting session that they took part in.

Mental Health Champions

Two children from Year 5, Aminah and Yusuf, attended training this week led by ten-times World Champion Inline Skater, Jenna Downing. They learnt about how to keep themselves and others healthy, both physically and mentally, and will be running a club in school over the coming weeks, to support other children.
