Mudpuddle Farm

We have been reading Mudpuddle Farm by Michael Morpurgo. We love the stories 'Mossop's Last Chance' and 'Albertine, Goose Queen.' One of our favourite characters is Mossop. We enjoyed writing a think, feel and say for Mossop when he was about to be kicked out of the farm. We really felt sorry for him but we also understand why Farmer Rafferty doesn't want him anymore. We made 'Wanted' posters to take on a new cat that has all the qualities that poor Mossop doesn't have. You're still our favourite Mossop!

The Pirate Next Door

We have been reading the story, 'The Pirates Next Door.' We really enjoy listening to this story and we love both the characters Matilda and Jim Lad. We have been writing letters in role to complain about the pirates. We have used 'Talk for Write' to retell the story and used it to write our own stories.

All About Dogs

Jim Lad asked for us to help him look after his dog Bones. We had a visit from a dog called Herbie and we had lots of questions to ask. Later we researched about dogs too. We are going to use all this information to create a report for Jim Lad so he knows how to look after Bones.
