Monday- 

KL: To make a prediction. 

Use the prediction sheet below to make a prediction about our next text in English. Think about where the story might be set, the characters we might met and what might happen in the story.  

Tuesday-

KL: To interpret a text to visualise a character. 

Using the Iron Man description below, think of actions you could use to retell the chapter. 

Then create a black out poem using the description below. This means circling the words that best describe the Iron Man and colouring out all the other words that are not effective in describing the Iron Man. 

Wednesday-

KL:  To raise questions 

Today we are going to the raising questions to ask the Iron Man. Remember to ask a range of questions such as: 'Why did you go to the edge of the cliff?' Use the question hand and question matrix to help you. 

Thursday-

KL: To explore the actions and feelings of a character. 

Download and read chapter 1 of the The Iron Man. 

Take a look at the questions you wrote down yesterday. Now using those and the chapter think about how the Iron Man would be thinking, feeling and what he might say throughout the text. Remember to use evidence from the text.

Monday- KL: .Understand how a range of mechanisms create movement

In this lesson, we will explore a range of mechanisms and how they are made to move. We will think about materials we have at home and how they could be recycled or reused to make mechanisms. We will also introduce you to a design brief, considering how mechanisms could be used to meet the brief. This lesson includes some physical activity and equipment beyond pen, paper or pencil. Please make sure your child is adequately supervised

PSHE- KL: Jobs from different sectors

1. Write down as many jobs as you can think of.
2. Use word hippo to look up the word sector. What does it mean? 
3. Try grouping the different jobs into different sectors. 

Daily Handwriting  

 Choose 5 words and practise writing these in your book. Remember your ascenders and descenders.
