3.11.20 Trafiic and social distancing
Wednesday, 04 November 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,
Traffic
Due to the chaotic situation outside school at the end of the school day, I need to ask all drivers to think about where they park their cars. My suggestion is that drivers find a place to park away from school and then walk a few minutes to school to collect children. There are not enough parking spaces on Reedley Road, or on some of the neighbouring streets to park, so you will need to think of alternatives and walk a short distance.
School staff experienced negative and abusive comments today, blaming us for the disruption that many of you experienced outside of school.
Please note that traffic management is not a responsibility of school staff, although we do our best to create a safe space for our children coming in and out of school. Drivers are expected to abide by the law, including not parking on zig-zigs, yellow lines or in front of private drive-ways.
Social Distancing on school grounds
Parents/carers must ensure that they maintain social distance from other families at all times, including on school premises. Please use the space on the playground to spread yourselves out and be prepared to give way to other people around you. You may have a short wait, whilst collecting your child, or leaving the premises after collecting your child.
Please work with us to help create the safest environment that we can, for everyone.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Sarah Bell
