PSHE curriculum
Please see details of our PSHE curriculum, with an overview of the topics that are covered throughout school.
At Reedley, we feel that children's personal. social and health education is just as important as their academic achievement.
We want our children to learn how to make a positive contribution to their communities, now and in the future. We support children to think about positive relationships, health and wellbeing and living in the wider world.
These broader topics are broken down as follows:
• Families and people who care for me
• Caring friendships
• Respectful and kind relationships
• Online safety and awareness
• Being safe
• General well-being
• Well-being online
• Physical health and fitness
• Healthy eating
• Health protection and prevention
• Personal safety
• Basic first aid
• Changes
In June 2026 we held a parent consultation, a pupil consultation and a staff consultation about the new PSHE policy. This policy is written in line with the new curriculum that will be implemented in September 2026.
There was no responses to the consultation and the policy was approved by our Governors.
A copy of this policy can be found below.
Copies of the Powerpoints used to teach the Relationships Education in Year 5 and Year 6 are available on this website, but the section is password protected, as it is for adults only. You can request the password from Mrs Iqbal in the school office.
