Dear Parents/Carers,
Pupil’s use of technology
We always recommend that parents monitor their child’s us of technology very closely. It has come to my attention that there is some horrific content being circulated on social media and on YouTube at the moment, which is causing great distress amongst children. The content of this material is a suicide game, which encourages children to self-harm or take their own lives.
I highly recommend that:
-Use of technology is monitored and that children under the age of 13 do not have access to the internet on any device, unless it is supervised by an adult
-Children are encouraged to report any concerning content to an adult, immediately
-Children under the age of 13 do not have social media accounts or access to YouTube.
-If someone contacts your child direct or abuses your child on line, you should contact the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Agency (Just google CEOPS for more details).
For further details, please see the following document on our school website. Little Big Book of Badness – document includes tips on how to stay safe online.

Update allergy information
We are concerned that allergy information for some children is not up to date. If your child has been diagnosed with any allergies (food, animals and medication). Parents must inform school office (Mrs Iqbal or Mrs Walton) as soon possible if there are any changes. You will have to fill an individual health care plan and provide school with the relevant medication.
School Spider app
1) Download the app from your app store on a smart phone or tablet. This is called ‘school spider’.
2) Let Mrs Iqbal have your email address.
3) Check your emails and use your username and password to log in. Log in as a parent on the app.
Thank you for your support,
Sarah Bell
