Swimming Rota
I have been so proud of our children for taking part in swimming lessons this week. The swimming teacher Cameron has reported back that the children have worked hard and displayed really good behaviour. Some children have been in a swimming pool for the very first time and have handled it really well, whilst others have improved on their existing skills in the water.
Please see the swimming rota for the next three weeks.
Children in Y5 and Y6 will have their lessons over the next two weeks with the Year 3 and Year 4 children having their lessons from 22nd September.

Sleep Workshop
We are holding a parent workshop on sleep for children on Monday 15th September from 2.15 – 3.15pm delivered by our Mental Health team. Please see Mrs Simmonds if you need more information. There is no need to book, you can just turn up. Please note that this had been planned for the morning but is now in the afternoon.
Special Mentions
Aliza Ali in Y3 has received a handwritten letter from Oliver Ryan MP, thanking her for her efforts in keeping Brierfield clean by taking part in community litter picking activities. Well done Aliza.
Alayna Hussain in Y5 has been working on producing her own novel over recent weeks. She has just completed this and has given a copy to Mrs Gorrell to read. Well done for your perseverance Alayna.
Y1 Lego sessions
Throughout the year some of our classes have Lego workshops where they make really detailed models, linked to their topics in school. Year 1 will be having this on Tuesday 16th September. We would be grateful if Year 1 parents send £2 per child to help us fund this.
Thank you for your support and your kind birthday wishes,
Mrs Sarah Bell, Headteacher
