🌙 Thank You – Eid Fair
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Eid Fair yesterday. It was wonderful to see so many of our families enjoying themselves together.

We were also pleased to welcome the local police to the event. A special thank you to PCSO Marsden for showing children the flashing lights and siren – it was a real highlight!
Heartfelt thanks as always to our dedicated staff for organising the fair and running stalls throughout the day. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

🏅 Sports Day
Thank you to all families who joined us. The children gave their best effort, and our Y6 ambassadors did a brilliant job supporting younger pupils.
🕌 Eid Assembly
Well done to Year 4 for their informative and beautifully presented Eid assembly.
📚 Spelling Bee
Congratulations to all finalists – your quick thinking and spelling skills were incredible! Thank you to families who came to support. Well done to each year group’s winners and every child who took part.
📱 Online Safety – YouTube Use
We’re aware that some children have been posting videos to YouTube. Please note:

There is a high risk of exposure to inappropriate content without restrictions.

Set up age-appropriate restrictions and consider using Google Family Link to monitor usage.
Stay involved in what your child watches, shares, and uploads.
🛴 Electric Scooters
We’ve seen an increase in children using e-scooters near school. Please be aware:

Privately owned e-scooters are illegal to use on public roads and pavements in the UK.
-
Only those aged 16+ with a provisional driving licence can use rental scooters legally.
-
Police will confiscate any e-scooters being used illegally.
Please speak to your child about safety and the legal implications.

🛒 Tesco Grant – Thank You!
We’re thrilled to announce that Tesco Burnley has awarded us a £1000 grant for Design and Technology resources.
Thank you to Mrs King for securing this funding. Staff from Tesco visited us earlier this week to present the cheque, with some of our lovely Reception children there to receive it.
🏕 Y6 Day Trip to Whitehough
Today, our Y6 pupils enjoyed a day of survival skills at Whitehough Outdoor Centre. They took part in orienteering, fire starting, shelter building, and a low ropes course. Their behaviour was excellent – well done Y6!
