Rock Kidz
I am delighted to announce that we are having another visit from Rock Kidz. On 3rd November, we will
turn the hall into a rock concert and we ask children and staff to dress as a pop or rock star for the day.
Children across school have been asking me to book this again all year!
Rock Kidz then teach the children an age appropriate song and dance, with a clear positive message.
There is an opportunity to buy Rock Kidz merchandise such as t shorts and hoodies, at the end of the day
https://www.rockkidzuk.com/
We ask the children to each bring a donation towards this event, which costs over £1000 for the day. If
each child could donate £2 to this, it would really benefit the school and ensure that all children have a
great experience. Please send the donations to school on Friday 10th October when we mark Mental
Health Day – see below.

Our School Council have taken on the role of Junior Road Safety Ambassadors (JRSA). This week they met
with Danny Hoyle, a road safety officer from Lancashire County Council.
Over the coming months, they will be delivering key messages about road safety to children and their
families. They were all presented with JRSA badges this week. Look out for their first campaign coming
soon!
Wear Yellow
The School Council would like staff and children to wear YELLOW to school on Friday 10th October to raise
awareness of how to maintain positive mental health.
The key message is that ‘we stand brighter, together’.
During the day children will think about ways they can look after their mental health and keep a healthy
mind and healthy body.
