Computing
Children at Reedley Primary School use the Internet on a regular basis as part of their learning.
In school, we have regular ‘Online Safety’ activities to remind children of the importance of keeping themselves safe online.
This term we have looked at the importance of when is it acceptable to use the work of others? There is lots of content on the internet such as pictures, stories, music and videos which have been created by people.
When is it okay to use other peoples content? Do we need to ask permission?
We have been learning about copyright laws.

This term as part of the computing curriculum, Year 5 children have been learning about Databases and how these are used in everyday life. We have looked at the different types of databases and searched information using the filter, sort and group tools on Purple Mash. We have solved problems using the databases.
