This also links to our current unit of study in Science and DT which is all about healthy humans and animals. It was very interesting and the children learnt lots of new facts and information. North West Air Ambulance Charity
20/05/25
Today in school the children had an assembly from the North West Air Ambulance Charity. During the assembly the children learnt about the vital job that they play in saving lives all over the North West of England.
The children and staff were surprised to learn that the North West Air Ambulance is funded purely through charity and recieve no funding from the government. With this in mind school council would like to try to raise funds for the charity through a non-uniform day.Children will come to school wearing yellow and blue as they represent the colours of the helicopters and vehicles. The helicopters and critical care staff operate 365 days a year, to bring medical care to the people that need it the most. With their annual spend being over £18 million just to remain operational, we would like to raise as much money possible to help the charity.
