Things to look forward to this half term...
Anti Bullying Theatre Show
On Thursday 2nd October, years 3,4,5 and 6 watched a theatre show and took part in a workshop with a strong message about anti bullying.
Grandad Wheels
Author Grandad Wheels came to visit Reedley Primary School on Monday 6th October. Children were able to purchase books with profits going to charity.
Mental Health Awareness Day
Well done for the efforts to wear yellow today for Mental Health awareness.
During the day, classes all thought about ways they can look after their mental health and keep a healthy
mind and healthy body. All money raised will go towards the Rock Kidz event on Monday 3rd November,

Houghton Weavers
Rock Kidz
Rock Kidz visited school on Monday 3rd November. Children and staff dressed up as pop star/rock stars. They took part part in a fun singing session with a clear anti-bullying message.
Art Week
Photos from art week sessions. Parents of year 3 were invited to see their childrens work in Art. The childrens task was to make a model of the fruit/vegetable made of out of clay. Prior to making their model, children drew sketches of their chosen item.
Be Bright Be Seen-
Road Safety Awareness
Children and staff dressed in bright colours to support the School Council’s Be
Bright Be Seen campaign which aims to make people aware of the need to be seen near roads whilst
we have darker mornings and evenings. Whilst it has been fun to dress in bright colours, please give
some thought to the message behind it and think about whether your child is visible to drivers in
the dark.
School Council have done a good job of selling reflective key rings for 50p
Sporting Event
We are very lucky to have two Olympic athletes visiting our school on Wednesday.
Onyeka Okoh and Reynold Bangio spoke to the children in assembly and delivered sporting
sessions to all of the children. The children also got a chance to have a
question and answer session with Onyeka and Reynold.
Indoor Bowls
A group of children from year 3 represented the school in an Indoor Bowls activity. The children said it was great to try a new sport.
Children showed great enthusiasm and effort.
Book Author- Luke Temple

On Tuesday 3rd February, Reedley Primary School enjoyed a visit from book author Luke Temple. Children got to watch trailers of his upcoming book and took part with a story from his latest book that he read out. They also watched how the front cover of his latest book was illustrated into a condensed timelapse. Children were able to buy personalised books signed by Luke himself.
Number Day 2026
Friday 6th February is National Number Day. Class 3RE created art using numbers and letters inspired by the number and letter artist 'Jasper Johns' to celebrate.
Bring Yer Wellies
Year 3 had a fantastic trip to 'Bring Yer Wellies'
The children enjoyed learning about the Stone Age and becoming archaeologists.
The staff at Bring Yer Wellies said 'The children were very respectful and well behaved.''
World Book Day
World Book Day -Thursday 5th March.
World Book Day, a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) reading took place. The theme this year is ‘Go All In!’ to celebrate 2026 as the National Year of Reading.
