Autumn 2

Gymnastics

 

Week 1 - 

To demonstrate travelling actions on feet and hands and feet.

To show balances in front and back support positions.

 

Week 2 - 

To demonstrate the dish and arch shape.

To combine travelling, jumping and balancing actions.

 

Week 3 - 

To demonstrate basic rolling actions.

Plan and perform a simple sequence to include travel, rolling, and jumping.

 

Week 4 - 

To demonstrate balance on one foot.

Plan and perform a simple sequence to include travel, rolling, balance and jumping.

 

Week 5 - 

To create and demonstrate a gymnastics sequence of 6 actions. To teach a sequence to a partner and make simple assessments of quality of their performance.

 

Week 6 - 

To show a sequence of six moves with accuracy. 

 

Autumn 3

Dance

We have been looking at country style dancing including a line dance and a partner dance. Each week we have practised routines to master them and we have expolred and added new moves within our routine. 

We have developed our collaborative skills to enhance and perfect our routines.
