Spring 1 - Penguins, Possums and Pets

So far this half term, the children have learnt about the 7 continents of the world. They LOVED the continent song that we practiced so I have included a link below for you to access it at home.

We then went on to identify the 5 oceans of the world, the Pacific, the Atlantic, Indian, Arctic and Southern oceans. 

Whilst looking at how our world is made up, we identified the North and South Poles, as well as the Equator and discussed how the contries that are closest to the equator are the hottest and the ones that are further away are colder. 

The children also identified North, East, South and West on a compass and we used the saying Naughty Elephants Squirt Water, to help us remember them.
