Art

Autumn 1
Some animals have special abilities like being able to camouflage themselves on different surfaces. Sometimes it can be really hard to see them when they match their skin colors and patterns to their surroundings.
The children studied some of these animals to help understand why they camouflage.
Using dry media ( pencils, coloured pencils) and blending techniques, the children began to sketch animals and tried to camouflage them.

They then looked at wet and dry media and tested a variety of colours and decided which colours would suit best for their creation.
Today the children studied further how animal camouflage themslves.
The children used oil pastels to create thier work of art.
