Please can you fill in the online form in order for your child to take part.

Please see the letter below.

Dear parents/carers,

As a school we are fortunate enough to offer our Year 6 pupils the opportunity to take part in bikeability sessions. These are delivered by a company named Go Velo (find more information at: www.govelo.co.uk) and all instructors are fully trained and qualified. This year it will commence week beginning 9th March. All training will be delivered within school hours.

These sessions are designed for all abilities, whether the children can currently ride a bike or not. The children are more than welcome to bring their own bike and helmet if they are in good condition. The company do however offer bike and helmet hire if needed. If you would like Go Velo to provide a bike and helmet for your child, you must inform school. This can be done through the class teacher or through the office.

If your child would like to join in with these sessions, consent is now taken digitally. Please scan the QR code below with the camera on your phone or tablet to access the form. If there are any issues, please call into the school office for support.

This MUST be completed by Friday 13th February 2026.

9th March - 18th March

The children have been enjoying learning a new skill this week. For some children it was the first time riding a bike.

Bikeability cycle training equips children with vital life skills. Pupils not only learn to cycle, they gain independence, social skills and a sense of wellbeing. After Bikeability, children are better at responding to risk and report increased confidence. As a result, more children cycle to school which in turn improves mental health and wellbeing.

This allows children to get more out of the classroom, improving their attention span and engagement.
